Manhattan has a few public transportation options such as the aTa bus, eScooters, and Green Apple Bikes. And although Manhattan is only two to three hours away from large metro areas like Wichita, Kansas City, and Omaha, the airport provides easy access to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area as well. 

Public Transportation

The mission of the Flint Hills Area Transportation Agency is to deliver the highest quality of public transportation service to the Flint Hills region. The service area is the Manhattan-Riley County area, western Pottawatomie County including the Green Valley area and the St. George and Wamego area, Fort Riley, and the Junction City-Geary County area including the towns of Grandview Plaza and Milford.

Air Transportation 

Manhattan Regional Airport is serviced by American Airlines/American Eagle with direct jet service to Dallas-Fort Worth (one flight/day). Expansion of the terminal building has tripled to 42,000 square feet at the fastest-growing airport in Kansas.
