Golf at Colbert Hills
Ranked by several golf publications as Kansas’ Best Public Golf Course, Colbert Hills has wide, undulating fairways, manicured greens, and stunning Flint HIlls views. Former PGA pro and K-State alumnus Jim Colbert was instrumental in the course design.
Hike the Konza Prairie
The Konza Prairie has three nature trails ranging from 2.6 miles to 6.2 miles. There are more than 200 animal species, 600 flora species, and a herd of approximately 250 bison. This area has never been touched by a plow, and the natural vistas are the same as they were hundreds of years ago.
Go Zip Lining at Wildwood Adventure Park
Zip high above plunging limestone canyons at Wildwood Adventure Park. Some zip line runs stretch a quarter-mile and are joined by tandem runs. Finish in a guide-monitored, free-fall back to the ground.
Watch the Sunset at K-177 Overlook Park
Just outside of Manhattan, this park overlooks the Kansas River Valley and 8,600-acre Konza Prairie Preserve. Along with the natural beauty of the tallgrass prairie, bison and domestic livestock graze freely throughout the area.
