Dual Career Support Program
In 2021, 32.8 million families, or two-fifths of all families, included children under the age 18. Over 62 percent of these families contained two parents who were both employed (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics). Employers often see job candidates who are accompanied by spouses, partners, or family members who are also seeking employment and ways to get involved in the community. The Dual Career Support Program will assist in making career opportunities and resources accessible to these job seekers.
Whether you’re newly hired and looking to identify a position for your spouse, or you’re recruiting a family
to the Manhattan community, the Dual Career Support Program will help.
How It Works:
The Dual Career Support Program is a program of the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with Kansas State University and will connect job seekers with opportunities in the Greater Manhattan Region. Fill out this simple form to let top Manhattan area employers know that you are looking for an opportunity. Forms submitted through the online portal will be sent to participating employers weekly. Participating employers agree to provide a priority review of the forms, containing important job seeker information, like background, contact information, type of employment desired, and more. This program does not guarantee employment but simply provides resources and connections to potential career opportunities.
How We Can Help:
• Career – We provide an online portal with a database of spouses, partners, or family members interested in employment in the Manhattan area that is accessible to participating employers. This portal helps provide a clear pathway for job seekers to identify career opportunities and will support employers in hiring needs.
• Practical – Check out Made for Manhattan, to see all that our community has to offer. Discover the people, places, activities and events that make The Little Apple the perfect fit for you.
• Social – Learn more about the community and create valuable connections at our next Manhattan Chamber event. We can’t wait to meet you!
